When you want to find a cheap airplane ticket, I want to walk you through the process that I generally go through. What you’re going to find out is that most airline ticket based websites online are generally the same, and there’s no way to find that cheap airline ticket for next to nothing.
#1. Consider an airline credit card – The first thing that I would recommend is an airline credit card. What you’re going to find out is that you can get a free airline ticket just for signing up. As long as it doesn’t have an annual fee, and you can apply for a card, why not try it? What you’re going to find is that it can help you down the long run as well.
#2. Start your search – If you don’t want to go the card route, that’s fine. Use comparison search engines such as Kayak. What you can do here is input your information, and it’s going to return a whole bunch of airlines, and sites and what their prices are.
#3. Look for codes – Yes, just like a retailer, you can find airline coupon codes online. It never hurts to search. The key here is to make sure that you’re searching for the most recent results. By doing so, you’re going to find that you can potentially save 10% and more.
#4. Cash back sites – The last route I would take is by purchasing your item through a cash back site. By doing this, the company will give you a kick back for shopping through them. This is a great way to get money for doing something you already were going to do! On average you can save 5%+
